Raise the drill head to its resting position
Then lock the head in place
Place an aluminium oxide dressing stick which is also known as AL203 stick beneath the stick
Clamp the dressing stick securely to the table

Then lower the drill until the bottom cutting surface comes in touch with the dressing stock
Cut into the dressing stick as shallowly as possible letting the diamond sink into the aluminium oxide but minimising exposure to the side of the bit
Let the bit to spin on the dressing stick for around two to three seconds
Raise the core bit away from the dressing stick
Drill into the dressing stick two or more times in various locations
Then raise the drill to its resting positions
Switch the power off
Check the cutting surface of exposed diamond
